About Peggy

Peggy Wright is a teacher, mom, and proud MLA for Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview who fights every day for the families she serves.

After more than 20 years teaching in northeast Edmonton and serving as an Assistant Principal, Peggy brought her frontline experience straight to the legislature. As Shadow Minister for Labour, she has stood with workers defending fair bargaining, safe workplaces, and the dignity of good jobs. She has pushed hard on affordability, from insurance rates to grocery bills, and demanded real investment in public health care and hospitals.

As a lifelong educator, Peggy has been an unwavering voice for teachers, students, and support staff, fighting for safe classrooms and fair funding.

In Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview and across Alberta, Peggy is focused on one thing: building a stronger, more affordable province where families can thrive.

Peggy Wright is ready. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
